Swim and Survive is a comprehensive swimming and water safety initiative of Royal Life Saving that seeks to increase the swimming and water safety skills of all Australian children in order to prevent drowning and increase participation in safe aquatic activity.
Swim and Survive is a program that can easily be implemented into a large aquatic facility, a private swim school, swimming club or even be delivered as a school swimming and water safety program, delivered by school teachers. The program includes a comprehensive set of resources and awards to support its delivery.

We invite you to become a Swim and Survive Partner and be part of the largest water safety education program in Australia.
Being a Partner is more than just delivering Swim and Survive, it’s a mission to work together with Royal Life Saving to prevent drowning, provide water safety education and promote safe active participation in aquatic activities.
A Swim and Survive Partner is sanctioned to utilise the Swim and Survive program curriculum and resources. Once you’ve signed up you’ll have access to the many partner benefits.

Existing Victorian providers of the Swim and Survive program must sign a Deed of Licence with LSV annually (annual program fee applicable).
New Swim and Survive Partners must also sign a Deed of Licence with LSV; however there is a one-time fee of $420.00 inclusive of GST. The fee covers the cost of a comprehensive program induction pack, including:
- Access to Swim and Survive resources
- A Swim and Survive A1 Promotional Poster
- A set of sample Swim and Survive Certificates
- A Swim and Survive Partner Induction
- Ongoing support and industry engagement
Additional benefits of becoming a Swim and Survive Partner include:
- Association with the Royal Life Saving and Life Saving Victoria brand
- Direct support from LSV – Your first point of call for any inquiries or questions
- The program is a National swimming and water safety program that is well researched
- The program is GST free for Personal Aquatic Survival Skills
- Industry engagement opportunities including Swim and Survive networking forums
- Quarterly newsletters

- LSV offer Swim School Training support and program conversion/implementation for swim school managers
- LSV offer Swim School Quality Control auditing services
